Awesome Pics

This pic shows a clean fire.  Clean fires are after all the impurities have burned out of the coal.  A "dirty fire" gives off yellow smoke and debris.
Same as above.

This pic shows a clean fire heating up a bolt, part of me and a shot of Anna's butt.
Semi dirty fire with the damper all the way open.
Fire with the damper open.  Having the damper open allows the fan to blow into the fire box at full force, which puts more air into the fire causing the coal to burn faster.  A quick way to burn off the impurities.
Fire with the damper open and a decent breeze.

  1. Tory, Great photos! That said, you need to do more writing about what we're seeing.

    1. What does the photo show?
    2. Why is it important?
    3. What did you learn from the experience?
    4. Recommendations for others trying the same thing.

In essence, you need just a wee bit more context to what we're seeing. Too, in terms of the value of a blog as a promo for you, web crawlers that put topics up on search engines like Google and Bing usually need words tagged to the images in order to put them as a search result.

Finally, it'll make writing your thesis more of an editing job. It's much earlier to do this when it's still fresh as opposed to having to construct the whole thing from scratch as one big document.
